The Iconic Condado Vanderbilt Reopens

The Condado Vanderbilt, inaugurated in 1919 on one of the finest beaches of San Juan and closed down indefinitely in the late 1990s, recently reopened after a $270 million investment. In its early days, the Condado Vanderbilt played host to guests like Errol Flynn, Arthur Rubinstein, and Franklin Roosevelt. The Spanish Revival style property has 323 rooms, of which 120 are ocean view suites. Every floor is to be equipped with five-diamond service butler quarters. The hotel also has five restaurants and a 10,000 foot spa that includes a Turkish bath.
