The Mustique Blues Festival takes place at Basil’s Bar in the last week of January each year.
Started by English blues singer Dana Gillespie and bar owner, Basil Charles, the festival features regional and international artists, which occasionally include some of the island’s well-known musical residents.

The traditional three-day The 32nd Annual St. Maarten Heineken Regatta kicks off the racing season with two pre-events, the Gill Commodores Cup on March 1st which is a one-day race for spinnaker classes only and the Budget Marine Match Racing Cup a one-day match racing event on Feb 28th which will bring the world's best Match Racers to the island for a day of intense sailing. These events take place prior to the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta which will rev race-goers up for the main event. The annual St. Maarten Heineken Regatta has become a world-wide sailing event with exciting entertainment, musical performances and parties attracting tens of thousands of sailors and enthusiasts over the years. The actual competition consists of round-the-buoys contests and point-to-point destination races against the backdrop of St. Maarten's coastal views.

The first-ever international Erotikos Film Festival will take place September 15-22, 2012, at the Hedonism II Resort and Spa in Negril, Jamaica. The inaugural event will give international filmmakers of feature films, short films, and music videos the opportunity to showcase, compete, and promote their erotic-themed works. The Erotikos Film Festival, which was designed to raise the bar on creativity and artistic expression, will feature films where artistry and cinematography meet the erotic to reveal beauty in love and sexual desire. The Festival is seeking entries that entertain with a good story and evoke emotion and passion like the erotic curiosity stirred by Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, the playful ice scene that pushed boundaries in 9 1/2 Weeks, and the tease of Hess Is More’s music video “Yes Boss.” Judges will select the best films in special categories while Hedonism II guests will vote for the “People’s Choice Award for Best Picture.” Winners will be presented an Erotikos Film Festival statue and cash prizes.
