Go! Destination Marketing Caribbean Connection
December 2011

Welcome to this month’s edition of Caribbean Connection, a monthly e-magazine from
go! Destination Marketing
created expressly
for travel agents.

As the year ends, the Caribbean is more tempting than ever. We’re seeing increased seasonal airlift into Jamaica, as well as new connecting service from JetBlue between San Juan and St. Maarten. There’s also limited time Cuba offers from Insight Cuba – you’ll have to move fast, since these deals have a shelf life of only a couple of weeks. It seems that every week we’re seeing new developments regarding travel to Cuba – it’s definitely a destination to watch. If you have feedback or story ideas, reach out to me at markrogers222777@hotmail.com.

The Harder They Come
Jimmy Cliff is one of the icons of reggae music, but his true moment on top was his soundtrack and starring role in the 1972 cult favorite, The Harder They Come. This is Jamaica’s glorification of outlaw culture at its best. The movie never stops it breakout pace as it tells the story of a hard-scrabble reggae musician forced into a life of crime.
